Photography & Video Policy

NWBN events are public events where photography and video recording may take place. By attending an NWBN event, guests acknowledge that they may appear in photographs or video captured during the event. Images and recordings may be used by NWBN for promotional, communications, social media, website, and event recap purposes.

We understand that some guests may prefer not to be intentionally photographed or featured. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate these requests when communicated to an NWBN board member or event photographer. However, due to the public and social nature of our events, NWBN cannot guarantee that an attendee will not appear in group photographs, background images, crowd shots, or video footage.

Guests who have requested not to be featured are encouraged to let the photographer know directly and, when appropriate, step out of posed group photographs or recordings. NWBN will always strive to be respectful of individual preferences while also capturing and celebrating the connection, community, and energy of our events.

In the spirit of Truth and Reconciliation, we would like to acknowledge that the Nanaimo Women's Business Network operates on the traditional territories of the Snuneymuxw First Nation peoples. We thank them for allowing us to live, work, and play on their traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory.
