About the event
WELCOME FALL with like-minded business women as we support each other in raising our business success! We have an amazing event planned for both our members and guests alike.
📍VENUE: You may have noticed that we have moved our event to a new location. We had a brilliant experience with the Nanaimo Casino and wish we could continue to grow with them, unfortunately our membership has outgrown their venue capacity. After meeting with and viewing a number of other venues, the Nanaimo Golf Club has provided us with some great service and amazing options to grow our network and keep our event affordable for our members. We are looking forward to this new partnership!
🎤GUEST SPEAKER: We are excited to present Sandy Gerber as our Guest Speaker. As one of Canada’s most popular speakers, award-winning author, and communication trainer, Sandy Gerber delivers her Magnetic Communication talk empowering people to ignite the power of their own communication – to change their relationships, businesses, and lives. In this highly engaging Magnetic Communication session, Sandy will share the key to increased productivity and an engaged team. You’ll learn how to drive business growth by communicating with influence, and Sandy will even unpack how she used this key to grow her business from her bedroom as a single mom to a Top 100 Fastest Growing Company in BC. Most recently she was the keynote speaker at the Central Vancouver Island Worthy Event!
🎓VIU BURSARY: Did you know that the Nanaimo Women's Business Network (NWBN) established a bursary with VIU that helps provide financial support to two (2) female students every year? We have invited the 2024 recipients of the NWBN bursary to our September event and look forward to making this an annual celebration.
📸GROUP PHOTO: We are going to take a new group photo! We invite as many of you as possible to wear BLACK and WHITE to make this a cohesive and professional image. (It's okay we won't exclude you if you only have colour in your wardrobe!)
📢DISPLAY TABLES: With our larger space we will be launching our display table program! A half table rental (4 ft) will be $50. There will be limited availability and once open for booking will be a first come first served basis for those who have already purchased tickets to the event. Booking will be launched mid September (date to be determined).
👯♀️INVITE GUESTS: With our new venue able to hold more people, we would love to see everyone invite new guests out to this event. Guests are how we grow our membership and a healthy sized membership will allow us to continue to grow and offer amazing programs for all of you! Please share this event in your business community!

Cancellation Policy:
We understand that plans can change unexpectedly. In the event that you need to cancel your reservation for any Nanaimo Women's Network event, please note the following cancellation policy:
- Cancellations made more than 48 hours prior to the scheduled event will receive a full refund.
- Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled event will not be eligible for a refund
To cancel your reservation, please email info@nanaimowbn.com.
No Show Policy:
If you are unable to attend the scheduled event and do not inform us of your cancellation in advance, it will be considered a no-show. Our no-show policy is as follows:
- Customers who fail to attend the scheduled event without prior notification will not be eligible for a refund.
